ProQuest and NCBI Offer PubMed LinkOut To ProQuest Medical Library
Direct access to more than 330 full-text journal titles in database Divided line

ANN ARBOR, Mich., November 10, 2003 - ProQuest Information and Learning, in cooperation with NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information), is now offering PubMed LinkOut capabilities into ProQuest Medical Library. ProQuest Information and Learning, a unit of ProQuest Company, creates and distributes databases to libraries and educational institutions worldwide.

ProQuest Medical Library is a ProQuest® full-text journal database that provides in-depth coverage of all the major clinical and allied healthcare specialties including nursing, pediatrics, neurology, pharmacology, cardiology, physical therapy and many others. Coverage is global, and includes key titles such as The Lancet and Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) as well as specialty publications such as Annual Review of Immunology, Journal of Clinical Investigation, Diabetes, and many more.

PubMed® is a database of citations and abstracts to biomedical and other life science journal literature, developed and managed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) at the U.S. National Library of Medicine.

PubMed LinkOut will allow thousands of researchers, clinicians, and students worldwide who use the definitive PubMed service daily, direct access to more than 330 full-text titles in the ProQuest Medical Library database quickly and easily. Customers with valid IP-based access to the ProQuest service can take advantage of seamless navigation between the PubMed record and the corresponding full-text article hosted on the ProQuest platform.

Existing ProQuest full-text linking partners include SwetsWise, OCLC, Ingenta, JSTOR, and CrossRef. CrossRef includes: Science Direct, Wiley, Kluwer, Blackwell's Synergy, Emerald, Journals @ Ovid, Project MUSE, Springer, Taylor & Francis, and MetaPress.
