ProQuest Announces Agreement with News International
Newspaper coverage expands in ProQuest online databases

ANN ARBOR, Mich., November 25, 2003 - ProQuest Information and Learning announces an expanded agreement with News International. The agreement continues coverage of The Times and The Sunday Times in ProQuest online databases and brings two new newspaper titles, The Sun and News of the World, to ProQuest products. ProQuest Information and Learning, a unit of ProQuest Company, creates and publishes databases for libraries and educational institutions worldwide. News International is the major UK subsidiary of the News Corporation Limited. The News International content will appear in ProQuest NewsstandTM products, eLibraryTM products for K-12 libraries and schools, as well as several products targeted at international ProQuest customers such as ProQuest Learning: News. "The News International offerings will bring a new dimension to ProQuest Newsstand products. We're pleased to extend the availability of The Times and The Sunday Times in ProQuest products. Introducing highly regarded resources such as these to our youngest users will set them on a path to knowledge that will serve them throughout their scholarly lives," said Steven Hall, Senior Vice President, Publishing for ProQuest Information and Learning. The agreement includes backfile rights for The Times dating to 1990. All four newspapers - The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun, and News of the World - are already available in ProQuest databases.
