ProQuest Licenses 66 Key Medical Journals from Hodder Arnold, Mary Ann Liebert and Springer
Top medical, science titles join ProQuest electronic resources

ANN ARBOR, Mich., March 11, 2005 - ProQuest Information and Learning announced the addition of 66 significant journal titles from publishers Hodder Arnold Journals, Springer Science+Business Media, and Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. The new content includes 40 titles from Springer Science+Business Media, 19 titles from Hodder Arnold Journals and seven titles from Mary Ann Liebert. The new agreements will greatly expand ProQuest electronic offerings in medical and science research databases. ProQuest Information and Learning, a unit of ProQuest Company, creates and publishes databases for libraries and educational institutions worldwide. “The new titles significantly increase the breadth of ProQuest’s health and medical resources. The journals are especially appropriate for the people who use ProQuest for their research. Like our agreements last year with Springer New York, New England Journal of Medicine, and Karger Publishers, these new agreements propel ProQuest’s selection of high-quality, well-respected content even higher,” said Suzanne BeDell, vice president, higher education publishing, ProQuest Information and Learning. The new titles from Springer, Hodder Arnold and Mary Ann Liebert appear in ProQuest’s range of medical databases, including ProQuest Medical LibraryTM and ProQuest Health & Medical CompleteTM. Key Springer Science+Business Media titles include: Dysphagia, Diseases of the Colon and Rectum, Diabetologia, and Osteoporosis International. All 40 Springer medical titles are new to ProQuest. Along with Springer titles added in 2004, the new agreement brings the total of Springer medical titles in ProQuest to more than 60. Key Hodder Arnold titles include: Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, Palliative Medicine, and Human and Experimental Toxicology. Top Mary Ann Liebert titles include: Journal of Neurotrauma, Tissue Engineering, and Microbial Drug Resistance: Mechanisms, Epidemiology, and Disease. All of the titles are new to ProQuest. The agreement also includes 17 other journals from Hodder Arnold that will appear in ProQuest Research LibraryTM, the ABI/INFORM® suite of business databases and PCI Full TextTM. Most of the titles are available now.
