ProQuest Customizable Title List Help

Divided line

On this page, you can produce lists of the publications included in ProQuest databases. Each database product covers publications that either focus on a specific area of interest (such as business), or that are diverse enough to span a wide range of general interest topics. Some databases, like ProQuest Research LibraryTM and ProQuest DiscoveryTM, can be expanded to include optional subject modules, which add publications from specific subject areas.

When producing a list, you can specify the databases and subject modules to be included in the list. You can also customize the information listed for each publication and the output format for the list.

Products

You will either see a scrollable list of available databases, or a number of databases with a scrollable list of subject modules. Select any number of items from the scrollable list.

Click an item in the scrolling list to highlight and select it.
To select more than one item in the list--press and hold the CTRL key as you click items.
To deselect items in the list--press and hold the CTRL key as you click previously-selected items.

When you select multiple databases or multiple subject modules, the database and module names will appear at the top of the title list when you display or print it. The publications in each database and module will be combined into a single, alphabetically-ordered list.

When you select one or more subject modules in combination with a database, publications that are included in the database's core collection will display a corresponding + symbol in the left-most column when you view or print the list.

Include columns

Select at least one column to appear in the title list. Each column corresponds to specific information about each publication.

Title list output format

Select one of the following output formats for your list.
  • HTML (display and/or print)--A medium-quality display format, intended for onscreen viewing or printing. If a large number of columns are included in your list, HTML output may take some time to display.
  • Text only (ASCII)--A speedy, universally-viewable format without as much formatting as HTML. This is the default.
  • Comma-delimited ASCII--Ideal for importing into a spreadsheet or a database application.
  • PDF (Adobe Acrobat)--A high-quality display format which requires that you have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. Displays and prints nicely, but is the slowest and least flexible of the four formats. Right-click a .PDF filename in your browser to save a copy to your hard disk.
